The galactic heroes are playing a show!
we will be playing as part of the magic marker records 10 year anniversary on Feb 7th at the Someday Lounge in Portland, OR. we are playing as a full 4-piece band (for the first time since the 2005 athens popfest!).
also appearing will be dear nora, tullycrat, boat and all girl summer fun band.

this is somewhat galactic heroes related. i (ricky) participated in nation solo album month last month. as you probably guessed from the name, the idea is to write, record and perform a solo album in one month. the album must be at least 29:09 minutes long (mine comes in at exactly 30).
anyway, i thought i'd put it here so anyone interested could download it and give it a listen:

it has been so long since i've updated this site it is emabrassing. seriously. there has been more than one occasion where i thought "hey, i'll update the galactic heroes site" only to go there, see how long it has been since i wrote something and not do it.
the saddest part is that there is not that much to report. ricky is still in oregon, mike is still is boston and taylor and scott are still in south carolina.
i started trying to remember all of the songs that mike and i have recorded together with the thought of posting them. the current list (in wiki form) is here. if you remember something that we forgot (i'm looking at you, aaron) then please add it. i'd like to slowly start adding mp3 downloads to it.
anyway, despite all the rumors you may have heard, we aren't dead. so depedning on your opinion of us that may or may not be good.
